Vanessa Wylena Lewis-Keller, aged 62, passed away on August 09, 2024, in Waveland, Mississippi. Born on September 16, 1961, in Gulfport, Mississippi, Vanessa dedicated her life to her family, her community, and her faith.

Vanessa's professional journey was marked by her tenure at Regions Bank, where she worked diligently until her early retirement. This decision was fueled by her deep commitment to care for her beloved husband, Maurice Frank Keller. Her life was a testament to her nurturing spirit, not only within her family but also throughout her community.

A devout member of Mount Chapel in Waveland, MS, Vanessa actively participated in various church activities. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and interactions with those around her.

Vanessa's hobbies included delivering pecan candy and Avon products, a gesture that brought joy to many. She was also known for her famous Friday steak dinners, a weekly tradition that she hosted for those who placed orders. Her generosity and warmth touched many lives, making her a beloved figure in her community.

She leaves behind a loving family: her husband Maurice Frank Keller; son Xavier Lewis and his wife Carlie; grandchildren Xaden, Karigen, Paris, and Jason; siblings Karen, Yolanda and Lorenzo Jones, and Johnny and Carrie Williams; lifelong friend, Calvin Lewis; best friend, Terry Holden, special daughter, Courtney Wilson and special son, Dwayne Antoine; nieces Kizmet, Latoya, Erica, Anessa, Nevaeh, KiYonna, Jordynn, River, and Mia; nephews JaVar, Jonathan, Shaun (Theresa), Rashard, Raekwon, Jason, Chase, Cameron and Zaire. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nathaniel Williams and Annie K. Nelson Williams and her brother Nathaniel Williams Jr., and sisters Gwendolyn and Rhonda.

A celebration of Vanessa's life will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Mount Chapel Baptist Church, located at 721 Herlihy Street, Waveland, MS. Visitation for family and friends will begin at 1 PM followed by a service at 2 PM, led by Reverend Renell Singleton and Pastor Jason McKay. The interment will be at Waveland Cemetery with the repast following at MLK Park Community Center in Waveland, MS. The care of our loved one's arrangements has been entrusted to Baylous Funeral Home.

Vanessa's life was a beautiful example of love and service, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
