Ronland "Deon" Shears

It is with Great sadness that we announce the passing of Ronland Shears, known as Deon, 54, of Poplarville, MS., on Mar. 6, 2026. 

The celebration of his Life will be at Harts Chapel MIssionary Baptist Church, 340 Dupont Harts Chapel Rd, Poplarville, MS 39470, on Mar. 21, 2026. Viewing will take place from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., followed by service at 11 a.m. 

Deon leaves behind a loving family, three daughters and two sons, Yuron Shears, Deonna Shears, Chase Shears, Tytianna Shears, and Ashlyn Shears; three grandkids, Marquies and Madison Singleton, and Leilani Shears. He is also survived by six sisters, Donna Hill, Georgia Magee, Cassie Shears, Melinda Shears, Gladys Shears, and Carolyn Broom; one brother, Johnny, and loving companion, Rianne Russell.
