Robert Charles "Bam" McCord, age 59, of Pearlington, MS, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021, at his home. A native of Gulfport, MS, Robert was a dedicated member of Greater Mount Zion A.M.E. Church, where he served on the Usher Board and was a Son of Allen.

He is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Lee McCord of Pearlington, MS; his daughters, Danuella McCord of Gulfport, MS, Nicole Clayton of Texas, and Shondreka Lee of Pearlington, MS; and his cherished grandchildren, Marcus, Malina, Malik of Gulfport, MS, and Justin Jr. of Texas. He is also survived by his father, Robert Charles McCord Sr. of Gulfport, MS; his brothers, Jason of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Steve and Timothy McCord, both of Gulfport, MS; and his sisters, Drena McCord, Jackie Robinson, Dedra Bridges, and Joycelyn McCord, all of Gulfport, MS.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021, at 11 am at Greater Mount Zion A.M.E. Church, with the Rev. Robin Truitt officiating. Visitation will take place from 9 am until 11 am at the church. Burial will follow in Lindsey Cemetery under the direction of Baylous Funeral Home.
