December 4, 1955 – February 3, 2025
N orita Louise Henry age 69, on February 3, 2025, God called her home to Glory. She was a woman of strength, grace, and unwavering faith. She gave freely, loved unconditionally, and touched the lives of so many. Today we honor her legacy.
She attended Bay High School and later Alcorn University. Norita was a computer teacher at Bay Middle School. She used her her God-given gifts to inspire and guide young minds.
Norita was a faithful servant of Church of The Living God Resurrection, always working for the Lord. She had a deep love for the Sisters on One Accord, pouring her soul into leading young women to Christ. She didn't just minister in the church-she ministered everywhere she went, if you needed a word, she had it, if you needed correction, she gave it, if you needed prayer, she prayed without ceasing. Her presence filled any room with light, laughter, and the love of God.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 46 years, Robert Henry, their devoted daughter, Brittney (Kadeem) Perkins of Waveland, MS., her precious granddaughter, Semaj Henry, who was the light of her life. She also leaves behind her siblings in love and faith: Terri (Delroy) Johnson of Bay St. Louis, Carnel (Billy) Cooper of Gilbert, AZ., Zenobia (Thurston) Wright of New Orleans, LA., Leroy (Irma) Hawkins, and Leo (Michelle) Hawkins of Waveland, MS. She was a Godmother and guiding hand to Amary Daniels, Gary Willis, Sheena Henry, Carnel and Raquel Wright, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and loved ones who carry her love in their hearts forever.
Preceded in death by her parents, James Jr.,and Rachel Bernice Hawkins, and siblings; Gary Hawkins Sr., Charles Hawkins, Sr., Burlin Hawkins, Carol Hawkins Bolling, and Cleo Hawkins Willis.
On Wednesday February 12, 2025, at 12 Noon, visitation from 10 a.m., until 12 Noon at Church of The Living God Resurrection, in love and remembrance to celebrate the life of a remarkable woman-a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, cherished sister, and faithful servant of God.
Burial will take place in Waveland Cemetery, under the direction of Baylous Funeral Home.
