Marvin Lee Woody, age 60, of Poplarville, MS, passed away on February 20, 2026, at his home. Marvin was known for his caring and giving nature, always maintaining a good and upbeat spirit. He was an outstanding defensive back and was loved by many.

He leaves to cherish his memories four children: Lenyla Rollins, Terence Parker, Jenevieve Wolverton, and Ashrine' Parker; nine grandchildren; his father, James Bonner; two brothers, Retired Sergeant Robin McArthur and Coach Tony Woody; and four sisters, Lisa McArthur, Yvette Bonner, Janice Bonner, and Anita Cotton.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lilian Woodard.

A memorial service and repass will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 6 pm at the National Guard Armory in Poplarville, MS. The address is 100 Rodeo Street, Poplarville, MS 39470.
