Daughter, mother, and wife, LaWonda Eastmond passed away on August 12, 2024, at home in the arms of her husband. LaWonda, a strong spirit and a motivated woman with an even bigger heart, lived her life to the fullest, always pushing herself towards a successful journey. In 2019, with the birth of her beautiful daughter Aaliyah Eastmond, LaWonda, who initially did not want to be a mom, became the most amazing mother. With the support of her husband and family, and the inspiration of her daughter Aaliyah, LaWonda continued to grow and succeed not only in business but in life.

She leaves behind her husband, Michael; daughter, Aaliyah; father, H.B. Rhodes; sisters, Sharonda, Lutricia, Felechia, and LaTasha; niece, Aleshia; nephew, TJ; aunts, Peggy and Gerry; and uncle, Johnny Young. She is predeceased by her mother, Mrs. Paulette Rhodes, who will be remembered with special remembrance as the queen herself who will never be forgotten.

LaWonda passed away from heart failure at the age of 42. Gone too soon, but she will never be forgotten. The impact she left on everyone she came in contact with will live on within us. There are no words to describe how much she will be missed, but her legacy will forever live on.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 12 p.m., with visitation from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m., at Green Grove Baptist Church, Poplarville, Mississippi. Burial will follow in Hart Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of Baylous Funeral Home.
