Julius "Ju" McDonald, age 33, of Picayune, MS, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024, in Picayune, MS. Born on July 18, 1990, Julius was a native of Picayune, MS. He was a cherished member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, where he sang in the Male Chorus.

Julius is survived by his loving companion, Cala Butler, his son, Julius Lavon McDonald, and his daughter, McKenzie Ranee Butler. He leaves behind his parents, Jimmie McDonald and Deborah McDonald, and his brothers, Jimmie Jones and Henry Jones. His grandmother, Joann Jones, three nieces, one nephew, aunts, uncles, relatives, friends, and siblings Celo, Dale, and Robbie also mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Jerina McDonald Smith, his grandparents, Curly and Loraine McDonald, and his grandfather, Henry James Jones.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at 11:00 am, with visitation from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the New Palestine Cemetery, under the direction of Baylous Funeral Home.
