John Andrew Glover, aged 82, of Poplarville, MS, passed away peacefully in his home on July 5, 2023. A devoted husband and father, John married Ada Margaret Glover on August 10, 1963, and together they raised their children Tanya Renee, Johnie Cardell, Alexander, and Elishamont. John was a proud grandfather to 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, and he cherished his extended family, including a host of nieces, nephews, and a special daughter of love, Mia.

John and Ada moved to Syracuse, New York in 1964, where he worked diligently as a Boiler Operator (Engineer) for Bristol Myers Squibb, retiring after 25 years of dedicated service. He was a faithful member of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Syracuse, under the leadership of the late Rev. Randolph Stackhouse, Jr., and later became a member of the New Welcome Baptist Church in Poplarville, MS.

Services to honor John's life will be held on Monday, July 10, 2023, at New Welcome Baptist Church in Poplarville, MS, with a viewing at 12:00pm CST followed by the service at 1:00pm CST, led by Rev. M.J. Galloway. John will be laid to rest at Dave Monday Cemetery in Poplarville, MS, under the direction of Baylous Funeral Home in Picayune, MS.
