Joan Jones Christmas, age 74, of Picayune, MS, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2020, in Hattiesburg, MS. A native of Picayune, MS, Joan was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant at Highland Community Hospital. She was a devoted member of the Greater Emmanuel Baptist Church, where she served on the Mother Board.

Joan is survived by her two sons, Tommie Davison Jr. of Gulfport, MS, and Kristerfer Christmas of Picayune, MS; her daughter, Sonya Davison of Picayune, MS; six grandchildren, Tara Smith, Bradley Gullotte, Jailen Davison, Kandace Davison, Kevin Davison, and Kamoni L. Christmas; seven great-grandchildren; her sister, Rhonda Jones of Picayune, MS; and her brothers, L.J. Jones, Webster Jones, and W.L. Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Christmas, and her brother, James "Doak" Jones.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at 2 p.m. in Baylous Funeral Home, with Rev. Brain Dees officiating. Burial will follow in the Picayune Cemetery under the direction of Baylous Funeral Home. A walk-through viewing will be held on the same day from 10 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. in Baylous Funeral Home.
