It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Jacky Loper, age 69, on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. A native of Poplarville, Mississippi, Jacky was the sixth child of 12 children. He was a devoted member of the Glorious Church of God in Christ.

Jacky is survived by his loving wife, Addie B. Loper, his daughters Jacqueline Taylor Smith and Edna (Fred) Loper-McGrown, and his son Kenneth Loper. He leaves behind eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers Edward Earl (Susan) Loper, Danald Ray Loper, Calvin (Towera) Loper, and Derrit Loper, and his sisters Sylvia Newkirk and Cynthia Loper-Jarvis. A special aunt, Birtil Mills, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, relatives, and friends also mourn his passing.

Jacky was preceded in death by his daughter, Lucretia Loper, his father, Lester Leroy Loper, his siblings; Darrel Kenny Loper, James Arness Loper, Glen Loper, and Elizabeth 'Woman' Loper, as well as his sister-in-law, Alice Loper.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 13, at the Glorious Church of God in Christ, located at 26 Burton Rd, Poplarville, Mississippi 39470. Visitation hours will be from 9am until 10:55am, followed by the funeral service at 11am, officiated by Reverend Victor Robinson, Jr. The burial service will take place at Dave Monday Cemetery following the funeral service under the direction of Baylous Funeral Home.
