Gwen Curry Thomas, a native of Picayune, MS, passed away on May 2, 2022, at Singing River Hospital in Gulfport, MS. She was a dedicated General Manager at Hardee's Restaurant for 36 years in Gulfport, MS. Gwen is survived by her two sons, Paul Curry of Gulfport, MS, and Darrell (Susie) Curry of Los Vegas, NV; her two daughters, Sandra Corley and Andrea (Michael) Morrison, both of Gulfport, MS; her brother, Gene Smith (Bobbie) of Tylertown, MS; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 2 great great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her companion, Lloyd Stewart of Gulfport, MS.

Gwen was preceded in death by her parents, John Smith and Cydell Smith; her sisters, Vernon Benn and Helen Ruth Davis; and her brothers, John Smith and Gilbert Smith.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at 11am at East Jerusalem Baptist Church, with visitation starting at 10am. Burial will follow in the New Palestine Baptist Church, under the direction of Baylous Funeral Home.
