Glinda "G" Marie Jackson, age 57, of Bay St. Louis, MS, passed away on October 5, 2024, at her home. A native of Pearlington, MS, Glinda was a beloved member of her community. She was a dedicated member of the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir. Glinda attended Charles B. Murphy Elementary School and Hancock North Central High School, where she played basketball and enjoyed playing tennis.

Glinda was well-known in her community as the coach for the Blue Devils Basketball Team. She had a passion for fashion and was affectionately known as the queen of fashion. Her career in the hospitality industry included roles at Dock of the Bay, The Paddle Wheel Motel as a manager, and the Holiday Inn. Additionally, she provided cleaning services to many businesses and families.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 11am, with visitation starting at 10am, at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 16288 White Road, Pearlington, MS.

Survivors included her two daughters: Marisha Jackson and Melinda Jackson, one son, Marcus Johnson, seven grandchildren; Amajah, Anajah, Jerramie, J'Kaleigh, Lilliana, Liam and Hayzeleigh, four sisters; Sharon Acker, Salaina Gates, Tijuana Jackson Paige, Valerie Christmas Powell, two brothers: Walter Gates and Dwayne Gates, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents; Linda Jackson and Leroy Christmas, grandparents; Thaddeous and Arleatha Jackson, Edna and Ben Christmas, siblings; Charmin and Greg Jackson.

Burial in the New Hope Baptist Cemetery
