Gino Johnson,
Sr.
July 6, 1968 – March 4, 2025
Gino Johnson, Sr., age 56, of Gulfport, MS, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025. A native of Picayune, MS, Gino was a 1986 graduate of Picayune Memorial High School. He was a dedicated member of Ramsay Memorial in Gulfport, MS, and actively participated in several masonic organizations including Rectitude Lodge #323, Karun Temple #48, Bennett Johnson Consistory #342, and Heroines of Jericho #45. Gino was also a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. (Zeta Mu Lambda Chapter), where he enjoyed serving the community alongside his brothers and sisters.
Gino cherished spending time with his family and had a passion for sports, especially football. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, a love well-known to all who knew him.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Tina Johnson, sons Devin Johnson, Dante Johnson (Hailey) and Gino Johnson II; daughter Candice Williams (Devin); grandchildren Kyleigh, Kira, and Jase; mother Jandis Kidd and stepfather Howard Kidd; brothers Carlos Johnson and Andre Johnson; sister Paula Garrett; a special sister-n-law Gaynell Johnson; and a host of loving family members and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Pilgrim Bound Baptist Church located at 921 Baylous St., Picayune, MS. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 pm officiated by Pastor Nathaniel Barkum, Sr. of Ramsay Memorial in Gulfport, MS.

The Burial will be in the New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of Baylous Funeral Home. However, if there is severe weather, the burial service will be postponed.
A repast will be held following the burial service at the Mary H. Richardson Community Center located at 780 South Beech Street, Picayune, MS 39466.
