Freddie J. Lewis, Sr.

Freddie Joseph Lewis Sr. was born on January 9, 1932, and departed this realm on August 19, 2026.

Freddie was a man who brought joy, warmth, and light into the lives of those around him. He was known for his gentle nature and kind heart. His presence brought comfort, and his personality could brighten even the darkest days.

Freddie proudly served his country as a United States Veteran. His time in the military was a meaningful chapter of his life, reflecting his strength, dedication, discipline, and commitment to serving others. He carried the values he learned through his military service throughout his life and was proud of the role he played in protecting and serving his country.

Freddie was a skilled drywall finisher. He took great pride in his work and generously passed his knowledge, skills, and craftsmanship down to his sons.

Beyond his talents, Freddie will be remembered most for the love he showed to others. His generosity, caring spirit, laughter, and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Freddie Joseph Lewis Sr. was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Gloria Lewis; his daughters, Elaine Sims and Kim Lewis; and his son, Freddie Joseph Lewis Jr. his father , Frank Lewis, his mother, mae ola Lewis, his brother Kennedy Lewis.

He leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Delfred Lewis and Frank Lewis; his sisters, Rosie Lewis and Ollie Lewis, his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of other loving family members and friends.

Freddie Sr. and Freddie Jr. shared more than a family name. They shared a love of working with their hands, a talent for craftsmanship, and values rooted in hard work, strength, perseverance, and caring for others.

Although their earthly journeys have come to an end, the legacy they created continues through their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, and friends.

Their hands may no longer be here to build, repair, and create, but the foundation they built within their family will stand forever.

May their memories continue to bring comfort, their laughter continue to echo in the hearts of those who loved them, and their love continue to guide the generations they leave behind.
