Ettie B. Christmas-Lee, age 83, of Pearlington, MS, passed away on January 14, 2021, in Slidell, LA. A native of Westonia, MS, Ettie graduated from Lalencia C. Jones High School and attended beautification school, becoming a hair stylist. She was a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church, serving for over 30 years on the usher board. Ettie worked as a teacher at the Mississippi Action for Progress, Head Start Program, where she remained until her retirement. She enjoyed her Pearlington community, cooking, gardening, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.

Ettie is survived by her three sons, Edwin Lee, David (Melva) Lee, and Gary Lee; two daughters, Darlene Polk and Roberta (Errol) Woods; stepdaughter, Rose Acker; sisters-in-law, Lillian Rogers and Thelma Lee-Fairley; twenty-six grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Lee; one son, Terry Lee; one daughter, Reginia Lee-Halton; and her parents, Edward Christmas and Roberta Taylor-Christmas.

A private funeral service will be held on Friday, January 22, 2021, at 11 am, with a walk-through viewing from 9 am until 11 am at First Baptist Church, Pearlington, MS. Burial will follow in Lindsey Cemetery. Baylous Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
