Emanuel Antoine, Sr.

Emanuel "Spanky" Antoine Sr. (82) of Waveland, MS, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2026. Services will be held Friday, July 10, 2026, at Little Zion Baptist Church in Waveland. Visitation Hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m.

Emanuel was a devoted member of Little Zion Baptist Church and a skilled mechanic who loved hunting and fishing. A passionate competitor, he famously won a championship playing horseshoes.

He leaves to cherish his memory: Children: Emanuel Antoine Jr. and Deanna Antoine of Waveland, MSGrandchildren: Briana Meggs of Mobile, AL, and Dakarai Taylor of Waveland, MSSiblings: Carolyn Bray of CA, Pam Antoine of TX, Bernadine Antoine of TX, and Wayne Antoine of Waveland, MSA host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Phyllis Antoine; parents, James and Helen Antoine; and siblings Nora Jean, Elaine, Vanessa, James, Joe Louis, Larry, and Ralph Antoine.

The Interment Service will take place at Waveland Cemetery, 743 Dufour Rd, Waveland, MS 39576.
