Doris Ruth Bogan Granderson, age 70, of Picayune, MS, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2020, at Forrest General Hospital. A native of Picayune, MS, Doris was a dedicated member of Weems Chapel United Methodist Church and served on the PPR Board. She worked as a bus driver for The Picayune School System from 2002 until 2020, touching the lives of many students and colleagues.

Doris is survived by her son, Herman (Shantrell) Granderson Jr. of Columbus, MS; her daughters, Sonja (Nathaniel) Sanders and Herleesha (Robin) Gardner, both of Leesburg, FL; six grandsons; two great-grandchildren; and her special friend, Ralph Garrett of Picayune, MS. She is also survived by her brothers, Robert Bogan, Walter 'Bubba' Bogan, David Wayne Bogan, and James Bogan, as well as her sisters, Anna Marie Stewart, Carolyn Johnson, Dovie Williams, Margaret Straughn, Lynn Bumpers, Suzzette Neely, Anita Bogan, and Verelene Gates.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Granderson Sr.; her parents, Robert and Mabel Bogan; her sister, Shirley Ann Bogan; and her brother, Jackie Freddie Bogan.

A pass through will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2020, from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Baylous Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Memorial Garden Cemetery in Columbus, MS.
