David Earl Tillman, 86, of Carriere, Mississippi, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Gulfport Memorial Hospital in Gulfport, Mississippi.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 9, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM at New Hebron Baptist Church, 111 Byrd Street, Carriere, Mississippi 39246. Family and friends are invited to a visitation time beginning at 10:00AM, an hour prior to the funeral service.

A native of Carriere, Mississippi,  he was baptized at New Hebron Baptist Church at an early age. He graduated from George Washington Carver High School. He loved driving trucks cross country.

David is survived by two sons, Jamal (Thembi) Tillman of Louisville, Kentucky, and Dana (Patricia) Tillman of Illinois; one daughter, Kilolo Keys of Carriere, Mississippi. 16 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; one brother, George (Marilyn) Tillman of Sharpsburg, Georgia; two sisters, Delois Wood of St. Paul, Minnesota, Anita Tillman of St. Paul, Minnesota, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jeff Davis and Geoegia Lee Tillman ; one son, David Tillman; one brother, James Otis Tillman, and one sister, Catherine Jones.

The burial service will take place in New Hebron Baptist Church Community Cemetery following the funeral service.
