Brilla Jean Davis Murphy Conerly, a native of Bassfield, Mississippi, was born on June 16, 1950, to the late Harvey Davis and Emmogene Weathersby. She peacefully departed this life on December 7, 2025, at the age of 75. Brilla was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and cherished loved one whose presence brought warmth, strength, and love to all who knew her. She deeply loved her family, church family, and had a special heart for caring for others, especially children. Her life was a testament to perseverance, faith, and family.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory her son, Corey (Kenyata) Murphy; her grandchildren, Ebony Murphy, Zycoreyian Murphy, and Kaden Murphy; her siblings, Dorothy Louis Pittman Reese, Daniel (Mamie) Davis, Joy Ann Davis, Bernice Davis, Kenny Davis, and Sylvester Davis; along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harvey Davis, and her mothers, Emmogene Weathersby & Sarah Murphy. Also, her siblings, brother, Leroy Pittman, and sister, Ella Mae Lot Pittman.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, beginning at 10:00 am at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Picayune, MS.
