Audrey Jane Butler-Amerson, age 81, passed away on September 4, 2024, at Universal Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. A dedicated member of the Triumph Missionary Baptist Church, Audrey was known for her mission of feeding the garage worker every garage day. She leaves behind a loving family, including her three sons, Charles Woodard and Alex Amerson Jr., of Poplarville, Mississippi, and Ernest Franks of Bogalusa, Louisiana. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, her sister Pat Raine of Poplarville, Mississippi, and her brother Billy Smith of Arkansas.

Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Amerson Sr., her son Timothy Woodward, her daughter Virginia Woodard, her parents Joseph Smith and Cresa Mae Butler, and her brother Bobby Smith.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Triumph Missionary Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Cook. Audrey will be laid to rest at Rose Park Cemetery in Poplarville, Mississippi.
