Anthony Ray Baker, Jr.

It is with heavy hearts we share that Picayune resident Anthony Ray Baker, Jr. passed away at Highland Community Hospital on Friday, May 29, 2026. Born on January 16, 1990, he gained his heavenly wings at the age of 36. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, 501 Weems Street, Picayune, MS 39466. Viewing Hours will be from 11:00 a.m. until 11:55 a.m. The Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 p.m. 

Anthony had a passion for football and proudly played football at South Milwaukee High School and went on to UWM to play basketball. He was a dedicated Green Bay Packers fan. Anthony was a member of Saint James AME Methodist Church.

He is now reunited in eternal rest with his father, Anthony Ray Baker, Sr., niece, Ryah Young, grandmothers; Dorothy Ellis & Myrtle Baker, grandfathers; Jordan Ellis & Charlie Ray Baker.

Following the Funeral Service, the interment will take place at New Palestine Cemetery, located at 2336 Palestine Road, Picayune, MS 39466.
