Adrian Maurice Burton

It is with heavy hearts that we announce Adrian Maruice Burton of Waveland, MS, affectionally known as "Bubba" or "Choppa", passed away Monday, July 13, 2026 in Bay Saint Louis, MS, at the age of 60. 

Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 24, 2026 at Baylous Funeral Home, 300 North Blanks Avenue, Picayune, MS 39466. Visitation Hour will be from 10:00 a.m. until 10:55 a.m. The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. The Burial Service will be at a later date. 

Adrian was a familiar face throughout Hancock County. He would often be seen riding his bicycle around town, sometimes with a lawnmower in tow, always on his way somewhere, or taking care of a job. A true jack of all trades, Adrian was gifted with his hands, but his specialty was construction and building. His skills, hard work, and unmistakable presence made him well known through the community. He was always willing to help someone in need and would give his last dollar if he thought it would help another person.

Adrian was preceded in death by his father, William Maurice Burton, grandparents, James and Ida Burton, and J.B. and Daisy Toney, under Richard Burton, and his nephew, Floyd V. Willis, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother (Robert) Preston of Waveland, Mississippi, his sister Regina (Floyd) Wills of San Diego, CA., and his brother, Ronald Burton of Waveland, Mississippi, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends who will forever remember and cherish him.
